AASHTOWare Bridge Design and Rating Version 6.7 - New Features

The following enhancements and additions have been added to AASHTOWare Bridge® Design and Rating in Version 6.7:
  • LFR and LRFR analyses of gusset-plate connections in longitudinal steel trusses
  • LRFR analysis of floor systems and longitudinal steel trusses
  • LRFD design review and LFR and LRFR analyses of splice connections in steel girders
  • LRFD design review and LFR and LRFR analyses of prestressed concrete beams with temporary pretensioned straight top strands
  • LRFD design review of reinforced concrete piers supporting slab system superstructure
  • AASHTO LRFD Specification updates (7th Edition with 2015 Interim)
  • AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation Specification updates (2nd Edition with 2015 Interim)
  • Reinforced concrete box culvert enhancements
    • Control option to specify General Procedure shear computation method
    • Option to specify additional rebar sizes for culverts
    • Option to specify user-defined culvert live load distribution factors
    • Option to specify different exposure factors for top slab exterior surface, bottom slab exterior surface, wall exterior surface, and interior surface
  • User Group enhancements
    • Copy and paste shear reinforcement ranges
    • Control option to consider sloped portion of bent longitudinal reinforcement in bending and shear capacities
    • Option to perform 3D FEM analysis for dead load and/or live load only
    • Revise culvert LFD LL distribution computation
    • Control option to consider development length of deck reinforcements
  • 3D straight and curved girder support conditions and slab-girder interface modeling improvements
    Note: For 3D straight girder system, new Supports window’s tabs have been added for specifying the 3D support constraints to be used in a 3D FEM analysis. As engineering judgment should be considered in setting the 3D support constraints, data is not migrated to these new Supports window’s tabs. The user is responsible for specifying the 3D support constraints.
  • Option to specify support settlement loads in AASHTO Finite Element Engine
  • Option to specify user-defined dead load distribution by percentage
  • Computation of live load distribution factors and effective flange widths for girder system superstructure with varying girder spacing
  • Allow negative Epsilon (net longitudinal tensile steel strain) in General Procedure shear computation method
  • Report dead load actions for both left and right sides of an analysis point
  • Report dead load actions, live load actions, reactions and lateral flange moments in LRFD Analysis Output and LRFR Analysis Output
  • Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) support for truss member cross section and panel point graphics
  • Export and import vehicle information in Analysis Settings templates and LRFD Substructure Design Settings
  • Library steel shapes update for AISC Steel Construction Manual 14th Edition
  • Application Program Interface documentation updates
